Ripping a Blu-ray disc

Ripping a Blu-ray to your computer is easier than you think. Make sure you always have the latest version of AnyDVD HD installed, otherwise it's possible you won't be able to rip some of the latest releases.

• Download: AnyDVD HD  Install AnyDVD HD and follow the instructions.

Once installed, use the following settings:

Right-click the AnyDVD HD tray icon and click on Rip Video DVD to Harddisk... Do not select Rip to Image because ISO files are not allowed on ADC when it comes to Blu-ray discs.

Make sure your Blu-ray drive with your Blu-ray disc in it is selected. Choose where you want to save the Blu-ray folder with the files that AnyDVD HD will create. Then click on Copy DVD. Depending on the size of the disc, it can take more than an hour to rip a full BD50.

Using BDInfo

BDInfo collects a lot of technical specifications from a Blu-ray disc, such as disc size, video codec (AVC, VC-1, or MPEG-2), audio languages and formats, subtitle streams, bitrates, etc. As you can see, you can use this tool to find out the necessary information to fill out the upload template. It is recommended you use this tool and include the Report it creates in your upload. You can upload it where the NFO is usually included.
