STEP 0: Download ADC Rebuilder AIO Edition

STEP 1: Run the right ADC Rebuilder version
## PC2 Rebuilder.exe is preconfigured to use the excellent ProCoder 2 encoder, and this should be usually be your encoder of choice.
## If you have an unusually clean and detailed DVD and are compressing at a high Reduction Level (which you'll find out in STEP 7), you can safely use HC Rebuilder.exe.
## QuEnc Rebuilder.exe shouldn't be normally used, it's the "DVD Shrink" of the three version (although still much better than DVDShrink!) Very fast but low quality. Use this if you really need a quick encode, or you're just shaving a few percents off an "almost-DVD5."

STEP 2: Choose the source, destination, and temporary folder
## To speed things up a bit, put the Temporary Files Folder on a different drive as the Source & Destination Folders.

STEP 3a: Double-check your settings (for single Title Set feature)
## It's required that you know how many Title Sets your episodes or feature are on. Use a software media player to find out, if you're not sure.
## You can choose a mode besides "Full Backup", but we don't recommend it if you're a beginner.

STEP 3b: Double-check your settings (for multiple Title Set feature)
## If your episodes or feature are on multiple Title Sets, you have less options to work with, because DVD-Rebuilder is stupid and will consider some of your episode/feature Title Sets as "Extras":

OPTIONAL STEP 4: Disable unwanted audio tracks
## Please remember that 2-channel AC3 tracks take up very little space! If you have a main audio track in 5-channel and 2-channel format, and you want to keep the 5-channel one, DON'T DELETE THE 2-CHANNEL TRACK. The 2-channel version is often mastered in a special way that cannot be replicated by consumer hardware downsampling.

OPTIONAL STEP 5: Remap audio tracks if you disabled them
## This is a clean-up step that prevents your final DVD from having "empty" audio tracks.

STEP 6: Hit the Prepare button to start Stage I
## This step has to be repeated if you re-do any steps prior to this one. Will probably take 5-30 minutes.

STEP 7: Record Reduction Level
## If you upload this re-encode to ADC, you should paste this value into your upload description, as well as the "Overall Bitrate" value.
## If the reduction level is really high and you like experimenting, you might decide to go back to STEP 1 and choose an encoder besides PC2 Rebuilder.exe. But it's rarely necessary, because Procoder 2 is truly excellent.

OPTIONAL STEP 8: Blank trailers, interviews, and other unwanted parts
## There are often trailers and other unwanted garbage on retail DVDs that take up space. Space that is very valuable when you're compressing down to DVD5. Open the Segment Viewer/Editor window by clicking the http://cinematik.net/~kumi/adc-rb/adc-rb_previewbutton.png tab.

OPTIONAL STEP 9a: Allocate saved space and save
## DO NOT perform this step if your series/feature is on multiple Title Sets. Skip to STEP 9b instead.

OPTIONAL STEP 9b:
## This step is only for when your series/feature is on multiple Title Sets.
## You're going to have to nudge the Reduction sliders for each of your episode/feature Title Sets upwards, little by little, until your get the DVD Output Size back to 4.32 GB.

STEP 12: Hit the Rebuild button to start Stage II & III
## Go get some coffee... or sleep. This can take a long time, depending on which ADC Rebuilder version you chose in STEP 1. On a modern quad-core CPU, PC2 Rebuilder.exe might take 1 hour. On my old AMD Athlon 2600+, it takes about 7 hours.
